Moon Drawings

Moon Drawings / 2017/18 / Self Published Photo Book, Madrid. The publication explorers the unproven claim of the Aether, one of the classical natural elements that theoretically allows celestial light to be perceived. These drawings were made by mixing camera movements and moonlight as a way to record and freeze this luminiferous journey made from the heavenly body. The transparency of the paper highlights the invisible existence of this “all-surrounding” type of matter The drawings attempt to illustrate this astronomical phenomenon of aberration of light, in which galactic light appears to be in movement in accordance to the viewer. August 2017 / 36 pages / Japanese Bookbinding / 14.8 x 21 cm /  Tracing paper

Enantiodromia

Enantiodromia / 2016 / Exhibited at La Fábrica, Madrid. In the 1930’s Dr. Carl Jung revived the principles of Enantiodromia, a term first coined by greek philosopher Heraclitus. It sates that wholeness can be attained by understanding that duality is actually non-duality, each working force, internal or external, is necessary for its opposite to exist. As darkness grows, light fades and so on in reverse in a continuous collaboration. These photographs draw a pursuit to achieve a personal understanding and visual translation of this transcendental philosophy.

Trama

Trama / 2016 / Nexofoto 16 Portfolio Award finalist. Trama assembles double exposed images to extrapolate what makes for the architectural matrix of time and space by composing patterns that resonate and compare with textile construction motifs.

Commplus

Commplus / 2016 / Publication / PhotoEspaña Photo Book Award self published finalist. Architectural photography digitally manipulated, dissected, multiplied and layered to create a monochromatic chaotic order, from which selected sections are magnified to explore its pixel’s micro configurations. It attempts to imagine a “molecular architecture” at an image’s end, beyond the pixel.
